The Beginning

The foundation of Shriram Scientific was laid with a visionary goal — to empower India’s industries through scientific research and innovation. It all began in 1947, when Lala Shriram, a renowned industrialist and philanthropist, envisioned an institute that would drive self-reliance in science and technology. By 1950, this vision materialized into what we know today as the Shriram Institute for Industrial Research (SRI).
