Shriram Research Institute (SRI)

(SRI) is a premier, independent, non-profit, multi-disciplinary research and development organization established in 1947 by industrialist Sir Shriram. Headquartered in New Delhi, with branches in Bengaluru and Gurugram, SRI has played a pioneering role in advancing scientific innovation, analytical services, product development, and technology transfer for industries, government, and global partners.

Over the past seven decades, the institute has evolved into a hub of excellence, supporting sectors such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, polymers, agro-products, food & beverages, environment sciences, and advanced materials. Its services include analytical testing, calibration, quality assurance, environmental impact assessments, contract research, and training programs.

The Bengaluru branch of SRI, also known as Shriram Scientific (SRI-B), is a state-of-the-art center located at Sadaramangla Industrial Area, Whitefield Road, Bengaluru. This facility strengthens SRI’s presence in South India and caters to the region’s growing demand for industrial research, testing, and scientific consultancy.

Key Divisions at SRI-B include:

Analytical Science Division (ASD) – offering advanced testing for chemicals, metals, minerals, food, pharmaceuticals, petroleum, and consumer products.

Material Science Division (MSD) – focused on polymers, composites, adhesives, biomaterials, and specialty materials.

Environmental Science Division (ESD) – providing solutions in environmental monitoring, impact studies, and waste utilization.

Calibration Division (CD) – NABL-accredited services for precision calibration and instrumentation.
