Shriram Research Institute hosted an invited lecture on “Sustainable Energy – The Future of India” on 09 March 2026 at the SRI Conference Room. The talk was delivered by Prof. Lakshminarayana Rao, Scientist at the Indian Institute of Science and Associate Professor at the Centre for Sustainable Technologies. He is also a member of SRI’s Research Advisory Committee.
The session focused on the growing importance of sustainable and renewable energy in India, including solar, wind, and hydropower as key solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and meeting the nation’s rising energy demand.
The lecture also highlighted India’s expanding renewable energy capacity, the critical energy–water nexus, and the role of sustainable energy systems in ensuring environmental protection, water management, and food security.
The event provided valuable knowledge and insights for researchers, scientists, and professionals working in sustainable technologies, energy innovation, and climate solutions.
